Liz: Hey Paul! Happy Halloween! Are you ready for the costume party?

Paul: Hi Liz. Well, what do you think of my costume?

Liz: It’s…..  interesting. What exactly are you supposed to be?

Paul: I’m dressed as a corporate executive. Ready to take on the world with my briefcase, mobile phone, and palm pilot! I like your costume.

Liz: Eh, thanks… I decided to go as a mermaid. I designed the costume myself----bought the material and accessories to go with it, like these fish earrings. And I made this seaweed out of old cloth.

Paul: I’m sure we’ll wine prizes! We’re so creative and put so much effort into designing our costumes.

Liz: well…we’ll see. Paul, you know is all about fantasy, dressing unusually and have fun. It’s about leaving our normal lives behind.

Paul: yes of course. It’s wonderful opportunity to be free of the everyday routines.

Liz: Exactly! So Paul, why did you decide to dress as corporate executive when you are a corporate executive?

Paul: Oh, um… well, I guess us corporate executives aren’t so creative.

Liz: But Paul, aren’t you an advertising executive in charge of the creative team?
Paul: Well…yes. I see your point. Maybe I need a new career.

Review of TalkEnglish.com (a speaking learning website)

Speaking Online

Talkenglish.com is a website focuses on Learning English speaking.
Its goal is to help you with Learning English speaking so you can speak English fluently and improve your spoken English free. But, this website is not only for learning speaking but also learning Listening and Reading. At, the TalkEnglish.com, the lessons are structured to give you practice in all three areas at the same time. So, you’ll become a fluent English speaker by mastering those three skills.

Talkenglish.com developed the “click, Listen and Repeat” functionally. In most of the lesson, you read the sentence, click on the sentence to listen to the sentence, and then you can practice speaking by repeating after the audio file provided by a native English speaker. You also can download the audio file, so it will make students study easier and it can be a teaching source for teachers. But of course, you should buy to get the files (this is the minus).

Talkenglish.com has 8 subjects on Speaking English Lesson, you can choose one. Each subject has some parts and each part has a lot of expression that can be heard by clicking play button. It is simple and fun.

Actually this website is interesting and easy for beginner learners. The appearance is clear and reader-friendly. But, in every lesson there is not any picture related to the text, so may be the students can get bored. Because you should pay for downloading the data (and I think there is no one want to do it ), streaming the audio file is the great way to learn from this website. My recommendation is to check your connection before online, so the audio file can play fluently. After all, www.talkenglish.com is one of the best learning websites you can get.
